So you refill and not replace

Many companies offer “economy size” refills for their liquid soaps and sanitizers. Larger volume, typically at a lower cost per unit translates into less wastes and more savings. While this is generally true and a good idea, consuming less remains an important element.

Think about all the goes in to the refill; raw materials, transportation, chemicals and manufacturing process, packaging, labeling and distribution. Add to that the entire wholesale and retail supply chain process to get that product in your home. It’s anything but economical or efficient.

We applaud these efforts to reduce wastes and save consumers money but it too comes at a cost.

Reducing consumption remains the most effective solution for saving money and the environment
